Lauren and David had a beautiful intimate wedding in April. They included Lauren's daughter in the ceremony, which was so sweet. After the ceremony we did their portraits outdoors. Lauren's veil tried to blow away since it was so windy but it made for some fantastic images!

Mary and Jesse {Garden City KS Wedding}

Mary and Jesse came from Houston TX to get married in their hometown of Garden City KS in May. They're a super sweet couple and their wedding was tons of fun! Because it was raining we were able to photograph some images inside the Windsor hotel, which is always neat. We also stopped at Traditions for the bridal party to take a few images and to get a snack.
Also, and very exciting I took some video during their wedding and was able to put together a fusion (both video and stills) video for them. Scroll to the bottom to see it!

When Stephanie inquired for her Colorado wedding I was completely excited! These two are so cute together and had a beautiful wedding!
At the end of the evening the moon started coming up right by the devil's thumb and we managed to capture it!

Julie and Brett had a freezing cold January wedding day. But they were absolute troopers in the cold! And like the song, they had their love to keep them warm...

Adam and Carley {Rustic Garden City Kansas Wedding}

Adam and Carley had a beautiful rustic wedding in Garden City KS in November. The day was perfect! There was so much love, joy and fun throughout the day. During the ceremony Adam and Carley's parents came up and prayed with them. Being surrounded by your parent's praying for you and your spouse is a wonderful way to start your marriage and is such a meaningful thing to witness.

After the ceremony we did more creative portraits going to a local park and then we went to the fire station, because Adam is a firefighter. We were able to use the same fire truck we'd used during their engagement session!

At the reception, Carley and her Dad surprised everyone during their dance by breaking into a montage of different songs and dances from the past 40 years. It was so fun and they did a great job with it!

Tiana and Ryan {Fall Lakin Ks wedding}

Tiana and Ryan had planned on getting married in Las Vegas, but when Tiana's Mom was diagnosed with cancer, they decided to bring the wedding back home. Thankfully her Mom is doing well!

These two are one of the sweetest couples you'll ever meet and their wedding was beautiful. Thank you for letting me capture your day!

Megan and Binh {Garden City Kanas Tea Ceremony and Wedding}

Megan and Binh came back to Megan's hometown for their June wedding, all the way from California. They had their tea ceremony the day before the wedding and though I don't speak Vietnamese it was obvious that their family and friends were happy to celebrate with them. It was also really cool for me to experience something new, even if I didn't know what exactly was going on. And I was very grateful for the help in directing me where I needed to go next to get the shot!

Congrats on your marriage Megan and Binh, I hope you have a long happy one!

Carolyn and Kyle {Cimarron Kansas Wedding}

Carolyn and Kyle had a beautiful wedding in a small church in Cimarron in July. Their first look was sweet, it's so wonderful to see couples have that moment with each other. It doesn't ruin the walk down the aisle either, as Carolyn cried on her way to meet Kyle.

At the reception with a gorgeous cake and beautiful flowers I learned that Kyle insisted on real flowers for their wedding day, and they were gorgeous! He made the right call for sure ;)

Since Carolyn and Kyle didn't have dancing at their reception, they ended the evening earlier which made it possible for us to do their creative portraits during the golden hour, which is about an hour before sunset. This is like heaven on earth for me! The light is most beautiful at this time of day, unless you're willing to do them at dawn and that's not something I'm thrilled with, lol! And they were willing to sit on the grass which made for some beautiful images we otherwise couldn't have done.

Heather and Chris {Liberal Kansas Wedding}

Heather and Chris had one of the windiest weddings of the year but also one of the best skies! Their super fun personalities shone throughout the day and they had some great dancers at their reception and also, they had fajitas! Yum!

Micah and Scott {Garden City Kansas Wedding}

I've been lucky enough to know Micah for a few years now. And when she asked if I could photograph her wedding I was thrilled to say yes! Micah and Scott are so fun together and it's so wonderful to see how happy they make each other.
They were willing to hike a very pokey hill for me to get some images before the sun completely left us and I'm so very glad we did!

Because their wedding day was also Scott's Dad's birthday, they had the bakery made a birthday cake for him and it was so beautiful! And the naked cake wedding cake was so pretty, I've been dying for someone to have one and so was so happy to see it at the reception.

Aleasha and Kyle {June Wedding Garden City Kansas}

Aleasha and Kyle both come from farming families. So at their ceremony, instead of sand, they poured grain from each other their family farms into one jar.
After the ceremony they were brave enough to come down to the river for a few shots.

Jenna and Travis got married in Mexico and then had a reception in Garden City, which is Jenna's hometown. We started by taking pictures at the zoo before the reception started and then the party started!
